Welcome to Spanish 360 with Fabiana! Here you can find all of the resources to help advance your Spanish skills. We have more than 50 podcasts available. Many of the podcasts are free and others are available at a cost of 1 to 2 U.S. dollars. Associated with each podcast are transcripts and exercises which will assist to advance your learning. You may select just the podcast alone, or even better, you may select the podcasts plus the associated transcript and exercise. Spanish 360 also offers literature summaries which are short (1 to 2 page) summaries of popular short stories from Spanish and Latin American literature. For each story we provide in Spanish a summary and a discussion or a critique of the major themes. These summaries are ideal for the literature enthusiast or student interested in a review for school or to assist with homework.

 


What are podcasts ?

A podcast is a digital media file which is distributed over the Internet for playback on portable media players (like iPads, iPhones, iPods, mp3players) and on personal computers. Think of podcasts as portable radio shows that anyone can listen to.


How do I listen to the podcasts?

16 of our current podasts are free. You can listen to the entirety of those 16 free podcasts through the following steps: make sure that you are logged-in to your account > click Podcast Icon > under "Links" click the box next to podcast > add the podcast to your cart > proceed to check out > you will receive an order confirmation email with details of your order > go to your e-mail inbox to look for an e-mail from Spanish 360 (if there is no e-mail in your inbox check your junk or spam mail), click the "download" link in the body of the e-mail > enjoy listening to the complete podcast. For our other podcasts which are available at a cost, only a 1-2 minute preview of the entire 8-12 minute podcast is available for you to hear. To listen to the preview of one of our paid podcasts, follow the instructions as outlined above. If you decide to purchase the podcast, the entire 8-12 minute recording will be available for your downloading and listening pleasure as many times as you would like.


How do I listen to Podcasts from my iPhone, iPad, iPod or MP3 player?

Our podcasts can be listened to on an iPhone or iPad or other mobile devices in much the same way as you would listen to them on a PC. To listen to our podcasts on a mobile device, follow the instructions as listed above.


Listening to Podcasts on iPods

If you want to save you podcasts on an iPod follow these simple steps. Connect your iPod. Use your USB cable or iPod dock to connect your iPod to your computer. Wait for the icon to appear on the "Source list." Open your iPod settings. You can do this by clicking your iPod icon. Click the "Podcasts" tab. Select "Sync...podcasts episodes." Select "Podcasts to Update." Or choose "Select All." Click "Apply." Your podcasts should load each time you sync your iPod.


I don't have a smartphone. Is there another way of getting the podcasts?

Yes. You can get access to all of our podcasts through any web browser on any computer (desktop or laptop) or on other mobile devices such as any of the tablets, for example and iPad or Android tablet.


How often are new podcasts available?

We release new podcasts a few times per month.


Will new podcasts be automatically sent to me?

No. New podcasts are not automatically sent to you. When we release new podcasts, we will notify you by e-mail. To listen to a preview or download any of our new podcasts from our website, you would access those as you have done for any of our currently existing podcasts. You are free to create your personal selection of podcasts according to your needs and interests.


How many times can I listen to the podcasts?

You can listen to the previews of all podcasts as many times as you would like. Once you download podcast to your computer or personal device, you will be able to listen to the podcast as many times as you would like.


Can I suggest the subject of a podcast?

Yes. We be happy to add your suggestion to our list of podcasts to be recorded. If there is a Spanish grammatical concern that has been particularly confusing to you, let us know. We will create a podcast on that subject that will be certain to clear up any doubts that you have. What is offered in the transcripts and exercises and how much do they cost?

In our transcripts and exercises we offer transcripts, explanatory notes in Spanish and English, additional tips, helpful tables which make grammar issues easy, exercises and other fun materials which complement most of our podcasts. Remember you can enrich your ability to learn a foreign language by reading the podcast transcripts and explanatory notes in Spanish and English and by practicing what you have learned through our transcripts and exercises. The transcripts and exercises are available for most of our podcasts and can be purchased on an individual basis for $4.99 or $5.99 USD each. What is offered in the literature summaries and how much do they cost?

Literature Summaries are short (1 to 2 page) summaries of popular short stories from Spanish and Latin American literature. These summaries are ideal for the literature enthusiast or student interested in a review for school or to assist with a homework project. Check our currently available literature summaries. The literature summaries can be purchased on an individual basis for $9.99 USD each.


How do I ask Fabiana a Question and how much does it cost?

At this time, our website is currently not set up to allow questions to be sent to Fabiana. In the future we hope to have this functionality available through our website.


What can I get for free?

You can access for free any of the 16 free podcasts available on the Podcast Page of our website. Those free podcasts used to be our most popular items, with over 100,000 downloads.


Do I need to listen to the podcasts in numerical order?

No. You can listen to the podcasts in any order which you would like. The podcasts are numbered in the order which we recorded them. Their number is not meant to suggest the order in which they should be reviewed. The numbers will help you identify the newest available podcasts (highest numbers). Also, in our transcripts and exercises, we refer you to a particular podcast number for a more in depth explanation of a particular concept. Therefore, the podcast numbers should help you when reviewing the transcripts and exercises.
