Our Spanish 360 with Fabiana Team
Fabiana Elisa Martínez
FABIANA ELISA MARTÍNEZ was born and raised in Buenos Aires. From a very young age she showed a special interest in books and “words in other languages.” Fabiana graduated with Honors from the UCA University in Buenos Aires with a degree of Profesora en Letras (Linguistics and World Literature). She soon started teaching Spanish as a second language and perfected her method which she has used to teach in preeminent international companies as well as to professionals from various countries. Fabiana speaks five languages: Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and Italian, and has degrees in Ancient Greek and Latin. She is the author of the multi-awarded short story collection 12 Random Words.
Chris Hendrix
CHRIS HENDRIX was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, but grew up in Texas. He has lived the majority of his life in Texas, currently residing in Dallas. Chris began studying Spanish in high school, and also took classes in Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He has taken Spanish courses in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain, intensive courses in Costa Rica and, these days, he is taking Fabiana’s classes together with Byron. Chris works as an instructor in technology companies and has become the master editor of all our podcasts. For hobbies, he likes to ride his bicycle, go to the movies, and is also on a bowling team. He loves to read and has belonged to the same book club with dear friends for more than twenty years.
Byron Cryer
BYRON CRYER is originally from Miami Florida where he began to be interested in Spanish. Miami is a community where Spanish is commonly spoken and it is difficult to live there and not have an interest in the language. Byron is a physician and moved to Dallas to train and work as a doctor. He began taking Spanish lessons with Fabiana in 2006. Since that time, he and Chris have been getting together each week with Fabiana to study and enjoy this language that they love. As native English speakers, he and Chris have recognized the common problems that native English speakers face when learning a new language. Through the podcasts offered in Spanish 360 with Fabiana, Byron wants to make sure that other students in similar situations are provided tools to overcome the problems which they will commonly encounter.
